RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read news as required on station.
• Research and write news copy.
• Conduct telephone or in-person interviews and edit for air.

• Able to arrange guests for the show and research topics and conduct pre-show interview with guests.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good news sense
• Good reading skills
• Phone skills
• Proficient with computers. Knowledge of Broadcast News service
• News reading/background preferred
• A positive, friendly manner and customer service approach that enables the successful candidate to deal with challenging situations with empathy and sincerity.
• A clean driving record and reliable transportation.
