Well, it's finally come out. The promo music for Blue has been posted up. Why is this such a big deal? Well, by current estimates, Blue is said to be the most expensive Bollywood movie to date and who wouldn't want to see some footage of that? Also this is the latest album to be produced by A.R. Rahman. Now if you are a fan of Bollywood music, you are most likely a fan of Rahman, and plus he's the Oscar-Winning Bollywood composer now. Let's see, is there anything else that I might be missing about this promo....... Oh yeah. There's also a woman named Kylie Minogue who is singing and dancing in the video!
Yes this is the album that we heard about waaaaay back in January about Kylie Minogue teaming up with A. R. Rahman. From what we understand she is on 2 of the songs on the album. Does this mean she might have a bit of a role in the movie? I'm not sure, but we don't have too long to wait to find out. The movie is coming out at Diwali which is of course on October 17th this year.
The video is below, let us know what you think. Personally, I think I'm tired of the whole "Scaring White people with our crazy Bollywood moves" scenario. I'm also not crazy about the title - "Chiggy Wiggy"?!?!?! Really guys, what were you thinking?!?!?

Oh yes! There had to have been a Bollywood connection in the Tiger Woods scandal. Mr. Woods may have visited another “wood” and had a fling with Bollywood beauty Lara Dutta. Rumors were spreading back in 2001 about Tiger Woods stealing the Bollywood actress away from New York Yankee Derek Jeter. The rumors were quickly cleared by Woods’ side and had never resurfaced since, however due to the current uproar created by the Tiger scandal many believe the previous suspicions about Lara may be true.
Currently Lara Dutta is avoiding any calls from media and is ignoring text messages. The scandal between the two very well may be true. So I guess we can add a Bollywood bombshell (former Miss Universe) to the long list of women involved with Tiger!

Akshay Kumar who is currently shooting his film in Canada is stirring up controversy. We know that Mr. Kumar likes to live life on the edge by taking part in risky stunts and high speed chases. Well, during the shooting of the film “Thank You”, B-town star Akshay Kumar had a run-in with a RCMP officer after he bumped into the mounty’s cop car during a stunt he was doing for the movie.
Akshay tried to convince the officer that he was taking part in a stunt, however he was not buying it. The director of “Thank You” also came to the scene to defend Mr. Kumar but that was not good enough as the officer proceeded to write Akshay a ticket. Anees Bazmee jokes that this is the first ticket Mr. Kumar has received and it was not even his fault.

The men's giant slalom is one of the most anticipated Olympic events in the winter games as it is one of the most demanding sports featured. A participant has to be both physically superior and mentally strong to endure the special runs designed for international competition. One wrong stroke and giant slalom athletes can veer off course at extremely high speeds. Muhammad Abbas from team Pakistan is the lone athlete from this country competing in the highly awaited men's slalom competition. Interestingly, Abbas was a member of the first ski team put together by Pakistan ten years ago. Being from a small village in Nalthar Valley, Abbas and his extended family made up the entire team. Muhammad feels that the village he is from in Pakistan looks very much like the Swiss Alps as the mountain range is nestled in a forest with a placid blue lake surrounding.
Abbas was the only member of his family and essentially the Pakistani team to qualify for Vancouver 2010. He feels that his journey has been quite lonely as he misses his team mates, however feels that his experience so far has been very lovely regardless. Abbas enjoys his pre-competition ad training because he is able to do some freestyle skiing, his personal favorite activity is to do some summersaults on the ski jumps.
Muhammad is scheduled to compete February 23rd at 9:30 am for the men's slalom. Show your support by cheering the only athlete from Pakistan to qualify for the Vancouver 2010 games!

This Friday kicked off the opening weekend for two very high profile Bollywood films. Boney Kapoor's "Wanted and Yash Raj Films "Dil Bole Hadippa" went head to head this Eid and broke the so called long weekend hex. Both of these films brought promising numbers into multiplexes around the world.
Wanted, starring Salman Bhai, has done very well all over India bringing in approximately Rs. 300 million. The film's plot is set around a hard-core gangster Radhe (Salman Khan) who captures the heart of an unsuspecting daughter of a police officer. Although the plot is cliché it still brings the expected comedy, action, and romance to the table. Clearly India's box offices agree that the film is a must see, the international results were not as kind. The film did bring out audiences on the international stage ... just not in droves. If you like your Salman Khan films, you will not be disappointed as he still has the charisma and good looks to make any girl blush. Do not worry you manly men, there are plenty of shooting and fighting scenes to make you grunt and cheer throughout the film.
Dil Bole Haddipa, starring Rani Mukerji and Shahid Kapoor is a "typical" Yash Raj Film. Do not get thrown off by the word "typical" because films released under this powerful production house which are ordinary for their standards, turn out to be record breaking monsters. The film is based around “Veera Kaur” (Rani Mukherji) making her debut on a male cricket team, she shows her strength as a women, but like every Bollywood actress looks ravishing when not on the cricket pitch in order to win the heart of her cricket coach (Shahid Kapoor). Although the results in India for this film were not as strong as Wanted with sales only reaching Rs. 210 million, the international results have been everything but disappointing. Cinemas in North America and the UK had no problems selling out their shows well in advance. If you like leaving the cinema with the "cuddly/bubbly" feeling make sure you check out "Dil Bole Hadippa", because it will have you screaming out (sorry we just couldn't help it) HADIPPA!
